課程概述

The purpose of this course is to give an introduction to the basic concepts, principles, techniques and methodology of plant breeding with emphasis on horticultural crops – ornamentals, vegetables and fruits. Conventional breeding of various crops will be explored, as well as new approaches. 

課程目標
The students become familiar with basic concepts, principles, techniques and methodology of horticultural plant breeding.  
課程要求
1. Genetics or consent of the instructor.
2. 150-minute lecture of oral presentation with use of overhead projector. Interruptions by students for clarification, corrections, comments, etc., will be welcomed and encouraged.
3. Students are expected to attend each class period. However, your absence is a personal choice and you are responsible for the missed work. Skip the class is your loss!
